Jul 13, 1807: John Tarver applied to Land Office west of Pearl River, under the Act of Congress Mar 3rd, 1807 for 320 acres  on the waters of the Amite.
Dec 15, 1813 to June 15, 1814: John Tarver served with Lieut Col Nixon's Reg't Mississippi Militia, War of 1812.
06 Nov 1816: John Tarver "of Amite County" places a deposit of $15.65 on land "for which he intends to apply" west of the Pearl River (no.5352)
(1) The America State Papers (vol.2, p.244) list of land applicants, John Tarver, application no.51.
(2) Muster rolls, copies in Tarver-Gen files.
(3) Marriage license w/ bond copied at Liberty, Amite Co., Mississippi Courthouse, John Tarver to Easter Shaddocks [Chadwick], bond by John Tarver and Allen Tarver, 30 Jun 1811.
* Probably more than one John Tarver ... have another marriage license for a John Tarver, dated January 03, 1812, also copied at Liberty Courthouse - marriage to Martha Mathews (bondsman Thomas Mathews) -  6 known children of their marriage.  John Tarver married Esther Green
